BEKA (Pty) Ltd is Africa’s leading manufacturer of luminaires and glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP) poles.
In 1989, BEKA became South Africa’s first lighting company to be awarded ISO 9000 certification. This commitment to quality became the company’s hallmark and has enabled BEKA to become Africa’s largest lighting manufacturer and market leader in Amenity, Functional, Flood, Industrial, Commercial, Emergency Lighting, as well as Sports and Stadium Lighting.
BEKA offers an extensive range of high-quality LED luminaires, most of which are locally designed and manufactured, making them the best suited for African conditions. Our focus is on designing sustainable LED solutions, by making our designs FutureProof.
We understand the importance of renewable energy solutions, and provide various solar-powered indoor and outdoor lighting products.
BEKA’s products are used in many infrastructure developments, such as roads and highways, residential and commercial areas, and town centres as an integral part of urban renewal programmes. BEKA products are exported into almost all African countries, as well as the Middle East, South East Asia, Europe and Australia.
BEKA’s head office and manufacturing plants are located in Olifantsfontein, a strategically positioned industrial area situated between Johannesburg and Pretoria. BEKA has branches in all the major hubs of South Africa.
BEKA has been a member of the Belgian company, the Schréder Group GIE, since 2002. Through this association, BEKA has unique access to leading lighting technologies for which the Schréder Group GIE is renowned.
