ENERGY CRISIS IN SOUTH AFRICA

11 Feb 2008

Invitation to the Seminar:
PUBLIC LIGHTING NETWORKS: HOW TO REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION!

The energy crisis is upon us! Every day we are reading in the media of new proposals and ideas as to how to reduce energy consumption to get South Africa out of the precarious energy situation it finds itself in.

  • The Department of Mineral and Energy announces in one of their Press Statements their intention to change all streetlight luminaires to Solar powered luminaires.
  • Another draft amendment from the same Department wants to enforce the retrofitting of existing luminaires with energy-efficient bulbs.

Are these technologies assisting the country to find a sustainable and economical solution in reducing energy consumption of street lights?

Which other technologies can reduce the energy by 40-50%, and still provide complying streetlighting levels?

In order to assist you to get a broad overview over the various technologies, BEKA (Pty) Ltd will be holding a seminar titled:

PUBLIC LIGHTING NETWORKS: HOW TO REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION!

In this one-day seminar, we shall present all technically relevant information you need to know to be able to decide on the best practices for your organisation or your clients.
